Safety and Helmet Policy
This policy is part of our Terms of Use and applies to all rentals from tweloria.com. It is governed by the laws of Ukraine.
1. Age and License
You must be at least 18 years old to rent. For vehicles requiring a license under Ukrainian law, you must hold a valid license of the correct category. We may verify age and license before rental.
2. Helmet Requirements
Helmets are mandatory for mopeds, motorcycles, and similar vehicles per the Road Traffic Rules of Ukraine. For e-bikes and electric scooters, we strongly recommend a helmet at all times. A helmet is provided free with every rental and must be worn correctly and fastened securely.
3. Traffic Rules and Prohibited Use
Comply with the Road Traffic Rules of Ukraine and local regulations. Prohibited: riding on sidewalks where not permitted; riding against traffic; exceeding the speed limit (typically 20 km/h in pedestrian zones unless posted otherwise); riding under the influence of alcohol or drugs; carrying passengers unless the vehicle is designed for it.
4. Mandatory Equipment and Orientation
Before each rental, we provide a mandatory safety orientation covering vehicle controls, helmet use, traffic rules, and emergency procedures. You must complete it before riding. We also provide a lock and, where applicable, reflective elements. Report any equipment defect immediately.
5. Complaints and Dispute Resolution
For complaints or disputes, contact contact@tweloria.com or +380 962 618 5202. We will respond within 30 days as required by the Law of Ukraine "On Consumer Protection" No. 3153-IX dated 10 June 2023. If unresolved, you may apply to the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection or a court.
